In 1966, Toni Demetz founded one of the first ski rental shops in Selva di Val Gardena, turning his passion for mountains and skiing into a landmark for winter sports in the Dolomites. Together with his brothers Erich and Arnold, he created a family business that still stands today for quality, experience and innovation in ski rental services.
From the very beginning, SKI Toni became known for professionalism, personalized customer service and high-quality ski equipment directly on the slopes of Val Gardena. During the 1980s, the company became the first ski rental in Selva to introduce stone grinding ski technology, offering advanced professional ski service.
As winter tourism in the Dolomites continued to grow, the business evolved while maintaining the family values and philosophy established by Toni Demetz. Later, Toni’s sons Edy and Ivo Demetz joined the company and continue to manage it today with the same passion and dedication.
In 2000, the current SKI Toni rental shop was rebuilt and expanded into a modern and functional location. In 2004, the ski workshop and tuning laboratory were further enlarged to ensure even higher service standards.
